What does the Democratic Party Stand for these days? Hope?

My family is democrat but I have not been able to relate to the democratic party for a long time. I wish the democrats had gotten rid of Saddam Hussein and his sons...but they didn't ...and wouldn't ever have. When I was growing up the Democratic Party was defined by JFK....equal rights for black people ... going to the moon ... big deal projects that meant a lot. Now it's just a joke. When I hear Democrats talk they just don't say anything. And they are not willing to lead...but just follow along with the same old "I have no " approach. George Bush may not be very smart....but he has done good things Getting rid of Saddam Hussein was a very good thing....and getting rid of his sons was a very very good thing. And remember after we beat Germany up...we left lots and lots of army bases there for a very very long time....and now Germany is the strongest economy in the EU. Please tell me what do the democrats stand for? If John Wayne ran...i think I might vote for him at this point
