if you can't get into safe mode, then the option is to reformat if you have discs or created recovery discs? But 7 days down the track and snookered. You have a corrupted boot volume, the only thing you haven't tried is a system restore, no garantees it will work but it is worth a go if you can get to it? Is the PC running any protection? If it was were the difinitions upto date?
