Does this sound ok to take in my carryon?

I'm flying for the first time next week. I've checked the airlines website and see the liquid allowances of 3 etc. I plan on bringing my ipod, digital camera, wallet, gum,a book or 2, contact case, and a thin zip up fleece. Does this sound okay? Can I carry an unopened bag of hard candy like Jolly Ranchers and a breakfast bar or 2 in my carryon?
