TTC and I have a few questions any help would get great?

I had surgery in Oct. they removed hugh cyst & ovary & right tube. We are ttc with our second child, but ever since the surgery I am irregual and not sure if I'm ovulating. My doctor put me on provera 10mg 10 days. I just finished the first round. Today was my las day taking it, and i am cramping and spotting a little. I thought that I was supposed to get my period 10 days after I stopped. Is this normal? Also I started trying to track ovulation with the sticks you dip in urine. Has anyone ever had them work or not work Just curious. My doctor said the only reason he thinks ttc would be a problem would be because of scar tissue. Has anyone had surgery and scar tissue and still gotten pregnant? I have a long scar from belly on to csection scar. Any help or advice would be truly appreciated I reall want one more child and I am so scared this might not happen.
