What do you guys think Lady Gaga's videos, Paparazzi and Telephone, mean on a symbolic level?

I am doing a school project on Lady Gaga and how her art reflects today's society, and I would like some opinions on how the average viewer interprets her work, please and thank you! Other videos are ok too, but try and focus on ones mentioned above. I also don't need a plot, I want a deeper essment on what the videos say using symbolism.
