Where I had the oil changed at last they suggested my car needs certain services performed. Scam artists..?

The GM coolant does not have Multi million dollar lawsuit against it what happens is that people mix another kind of coolant in with the Dex-cool because they don't now any better some repair shops included and this causes the coolant to turn into an acid and it will gum up and rust the coolant system NOT GM's fault it even tells you on in the engine bay only use Dex-cool You should have the coolant system flushed out every 100,000 miles with the Dex-cool and have a dealer flush and install the new coolant they are the ones who seem to be able to properly fill the system most shops will just drain the Radiator and fill it back up with regular coolant not good. Any way the fuel system flush thing is just a waste of money all you need to do is fill your car up with 89 octane instead of regular and your car will be fine 89 octane has better cleaning agents than regular. as for the belt and hoses needing to be replaced I would get it done the car is 10 years old and their is nothing better than preventative maintenance. The transmission fluid and filter should be changed every 20K miles. unless the transmission is a sealed unit it will say in the owners manual.
