Help!! I've promised my fiance a quilt and I know nothing about quilting!?

Yes, i know! Stupid me! LOL! But he was asking one day and i said i had made one several, several years ago. And i did make one several years ago. But what i knew about quilting, well, back then isn't what i want for him now. And i have no idea where to start or how to even go about it! My aunt has a quilting machine and she can do the pretty design like that with it. But i need a simple pattern and i have no idea where to go for that. i have no sewing machine, which he's offered to buy for me. Can someone please tell me where to go for istance with this project?!
